We are actively involved with Community Associations Institute (CAI), Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), and The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors (GLVAR). H&L houses licensed Community Association Managers (CAM’s) holding CMCA (Community Manager of Community Associations) and AMS (Association Management Specialist) certifications. We prioritize continuing education to maintain current and PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager) designations.
- H&L provides thorough in-house training programs for our Boards resourced with Ms. Holland's teaching background and years of experience. Our Board programs work with attorney and collection agency firms. Our community managers have Supervisory CAM licenses allowing them to participate in the training process.

- Ms. Holland is a recognized leader in Homeowner Association/ CIC Management. Author of numerous textbooks serving as resources for real estate management courses throughout the United States, Ms. Holland has assisted the Nevada Real Estate Division in development and creation of the National tests for Certified Community and Property Managers. Ms. Holland’s weekly Q&A column for the Homeowners and Homeowner Associations in the Review Journal helps to educate homeowners, managers, and Board of directors. Barbara Holland holds her CPM, is a licensed Real Estate Broker, and Supervising Community Manager.
- H&L is engaged in protecting the interests of homeowner associations as we are active participants in the legislative process in reviewing, writing position papers and testifying on bills being considered by the State legislature that impact association management and association living.
- H&L offers an informal educational program whereby we send timely educational materials pertaining to the topics of the day that arise with city, county, state and federal ordinances or legislation. Our Boards receive summaries of the new NRS 116 laws long before most management companies even schedule their educational sessions (which is one of their techniques for soliciting new accounts.) Boards are provided with updates to the NRS/ NAC immediately upon change.
- Our dedicated compliance inspectors work closely with Boards and community managers to ensure community compliance. Community managers conduct inspections on a regular basis.
- H&L's full service maintenance team has certified maintenance technicians, specializing in welding, air conditioning, and CAMT1 & CAMT2 (Certified Maintenance Technician). Our roving crew is on call twenty-four hours / seven days a week for emergency calls.
- Our office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We have a full time live answering service for after hours calls. Your questions will be answered in a timely fashion.
